The Rundown
The Belmont County Animal Rescue League is the oldest animal-focused nonprofit in their servicing area. When they came to us, our primary goal was to make sure that they looked like it as well as had that presence in the community.

We implemented our strategy in the middle of the COVID pandemic, so we had to do a lot of adapting throughout the year, and to be honest, we're still working on it, but we promise our clients that we'll stick with them through the good times and the bad, and that's exactly what we plan on doing.

The Identity
The Icon Shape.
As we began to build the updated brand identity, we needed a boundary shape that balanced the caring, relational values that it takes to run an animal rescue league with the authority it takes to be an industry and community leader. Enter the hexagon.
The cats, dogs, and hearts.
We decided to take variants from the previous brand, and polish them up a bit. Why stray too far from something when you can stay close, and not get lost along the way? Cats, dogs, and hearts - The true Mantra Of BCARL.
The Font Choice
The font we chose is weighty and impactful, but the rounded corners make it more approachable. Adjust the space between the letters a bit and you have a memorable organizational acronym -- one that is often used in their community already.
The Colors.
The high contrast wasn't an accident. Having the previous colors of light purple and aqua, it only made sense to use those colors as a jumping point to something a little more modern and sharp.
